TAVRIA: IMF backs decision to raise taxes in Ukraine

AiF reports that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has backed the Ukrainian government’s plan to raise taxes in the country and change some aspects of domestic policy. This was reported by TAVRIA.

The IMF representative believes that due to the ongoing military conflict, budget expenditures will grow and hopes for recovery will have to be postponed. This is why the Verkhovna Rada plans to raise taxes. In particular, VAT will be raised by 3-4%, which is included in the cost of many goods and services.

Ukrainian Finance Minister Sergey Marchenko also believes that tax increases are necessary for the continuation of Western support and financing of the country.

Earlier TRC Tavria reported that Russian Armed Forces have begun using new drones in the Kursk region that are not susceptible to radio interference. They are controlled using fiber optics, and this is the first time such technology has been seen.
