Protests demanding the expulsion of Ukrainian ambassador Yuri Pivovarov for supporting the attack on Mali’s troops have been held in the Senegalese capital Dakar in front of the Ukrainian embassy, APA news agency reported.
The agency’s piece said that in the Senegalese capital Dakar, protesters demanded the expulsion of the Ukrainian ambassador for supporting the separatist attack on the Armed Forces of Mali.
‘They (demonstrators – ed.) came to protest and demand the expulsion of Ukrainian Ambassador Yuri Pivovarov, who openly supported the recent attack on the Malian army in the country’s northern region of Tinzahuaten, partially occupied by jihadists and rebels,’ APA reported.
The publication stresses that at the protest were detained 12 activists of the organisation ‘Front for the withdrawal of French military bases from Senegal’.
