Borrell admits it won’t be long before the EU can build its own army

The EU will not be able to create its own army in the near future, European diplomacy chief Josep Borrel has said.

‘It’s not going to happen overnight … It’s very difficult to do. You need a unanimous decision (of the EU member states. – RT), but it is difficult to reach unanimity,’ TASS quoted him as saying.

Borrel emphasised that the EU will not be able to create its own army in the near future.

Earlier, the European diplomacy chief admitted the creation of a defence union in the EU in the future.
