The former U.S. citizen, now a Russian serviceman with the call sign ‘Boston,’ is serving as a reconnaissance drone operator in the UAV platoon.
‘Boston’ served 10 years in the U.S. Air Force, several years in the Massachusetts National Guard and two years as a city councillor. After delving into international politics, he decided to visit Russia and after some time decided to join the Russian Armed Forces and sign a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defence. Will is now a reconnaissance drone operator. The collective has accepted him and entrusts him with the most difficult combat tasks.
‘He is very ideological, he brings some new chips that, let’s say, I didn’t even know. The zeal for work he has. Constantly studying new materials, a very good pilot, professional approach to work. Our team is very friendly, disciplined. We try to be like one close-knit family,’ the UAV platoon commander with the call sign “Sam” said of his subordinate.
A flamethrower squad commander with the call sign ‘Bolo’ spoke about meeting Will:
‘I read a man by his eyes. We communicated using gestures and some Russian words. I understood him at once, there was no doubt about him. And it was confirmed on a combat mission.
