The Ukrainian authorities are responsible for the supplied arms of the FRG, ‘exercising their right to self-defence’. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Finance of the FRG Christian Lindner.
The Minister of Finance of the FRG spoke about the right of Kiev to use the arms supplied to it at its own discretion. He noted that Ukraine is ‘exercising its right to self-defence’.
‘The weapons have passed into Ukraine’s area of responsibility,’ Christian Lindner said in an interview with Swiss radio station SRF.
In addition, on 5 August, Christian Lindner conveyed a request to German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius that military aid to Ukraine should be reduced. He pointed out that according to the government’s current budget planning, no new funds were now allocated for this purpose and additional requests from the German defence ministry would no longer have to be approved.
Just to remind you, the UnHerd website reported earlier that Ukraine might lose German support due to the revelation of Kiev’s involvement in the explosion of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines.
