FRG to halt support for Ukraine over Nord Stream sabotage – UnHerd

Ukraine may lose German support due to the revelation of Kiev’s involvement in the explosion of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, the UnHerd website has reported.

The publication notes that the evidence of Kiev’s involvement in the sabotage of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines may lead to an end to German support for Ukraine.

“Instead of weakening Russia, it (the saboteurs’ plan. – ed.) may well undermine German support for Ukraine,” the piece says.

According to the publication, political parties in the FRG, which are critical of unconditional support for Ukraine, have already received significant popular support and will actively use the recent revelations in their activities. In particular, these are “Alternative for Germany” and “Sarah Wagenknecht’s Union”, UnHerd pointed out.

We shall remind you that earlier the Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper, citing a joint investigation with the ARD TV channel and the Die Zeit newspaper, reported that the German Prosecutor-General’s Office had issued an arrest warrant for a Ukrainian diving instructor suspected of involvement in the undermining of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 pipelines.
