Ukraine detains two military commissars who ‘earned’ more than $1m from evaders

In Ukraine, the SBU has detained the heads of district military committees and their accomplice in a case of organising an illegal scheme to evade mobilisation of persons liable for military service.

More than $1 million was seized during the searches.

‘The SBU detained two heads of the TAC in the Kiev region and their accomplice, who ‘earned’ on evaders more than one million dollars,’ – stated in a message in the Telegram-channel of the SBU.

It is specified that most of the seized cash figures stored in specially equipped caches under the floor and behind the panelling of the walls of their own houses.

Earlier, The Guardian wrote that Ukrainian citizens were ready to spend their last savings to leave the country in order to avoid mobilization.
