Canada has authorised Ukraine to use supplied military equipment inside Russia

Canada is allowing Ukraine to use supplied military equipment to attack inside Russia, this includes tanks and other armoured vehicles, the CBC reports, citing the Canadian Ministry of Defence.

The TV channel recalls that Canada transferred eight Leopard 2A4 tanks, several dozen armoured fighting vehicles and hundreds of patrol vehicles, as well as several M-777 howitzers to the Ukrainian army.

‘Canada does not impose any geographical restrictions on the use of military equipment that we are transferring to Ukraine,’ said Defence Ministry spokeswoman Andre-Anne Poulin.

As the TV channel notes with reference to CNN broadcast, Canadian armoured vehicles were seen in AFU columns during the attack on the Kursk region.

The Times earlier wrote that British ministers were trying to persuade their allies to allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to use the Western-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles provided to it for strikes on Russian territory.
