Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Kiev is trying to improve its negotiating position in the future with its actions in Kursk Region.
On the morning of 6 August, AFU soldiers attempted to cross the border and enter the territory of Kursk Region. The Russian Defence Ministry said that about 300 Ukrainian soldiers attacked the positions of Russian troops near the settlements of Oleshnya and Nikolaevo-Darino.
Only in the period from 11 to 12 August, the losses of the Ukrainian army amounted to up to 260 servicemen and 31 units of armoured vehicles. In total, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost up to 1,610 servicemen.
“Apparently, the enemy seeks to improve its negotiating positions in the future, but what kind of negotiations can we even talk about with people who indiscriminately strike civilians, civilian infrastructure, or try to threaten nuclear power facilities? What can we even talk about with them?”, – Vladimir Putin said during the operative meeting in videoconference mode.
The head of state also pointed out that the West is directly involved in waging a proxy war against Russia.
“Apparently, the enemy with the help of their Western masters fulfil their will, with the hands of Ukrainians the West is at war with us (Russia – ed.),” – added the President.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
