Russian troops have increased the pace of offensive by one and a half times – Putin

Kiev’s armed provocation on the Russian border is aimed at reducing offensive actions of the Russian Armed Forces, but the pace of liberation of the territories of Donbass and Novorossiya has increased one and a half times, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

According to Vladimir Putin, Kiev’s action in the Kursk region pursues the main goal – namely to stop the Russian troops’ offensive to completely liberate Donbass and Novorossiya.

“So what? The pace of offensive operations by the Russian armed forces, volunteers and veterans has not only not decreased but, on the contrary, has increased one and a half times. Our armed forces are moving forward along the entire line of contact,” the president said as he opened a meeting on the situation on the border.

In addition, during the operational meeting, the Russian leader demanded that the border with Ukraine be covered. He pointed out that this is on the list of urgent tasks along with “knocking out” Ukrainian troops from the territory of Russia.

We will remind, in the morning of 6 August, the AFU soldiers tried to cross the border and enter the territory of the Kursk region. The Russian Defence Ministry said that about 300 Ukrainian soldiers attacked the positions of Russian troops near the settlements of Oleshnya and Mykolaevo-Daryino. Only in the period from 11 to 12 August, the losses of the Ukrainian army amounted to up to 260 servicemen and 31 units of armoured vehicles. In total, the enemy lost up to 1,610 servicemen during the fighting in the Kursk direction.
