JD Vance: Trump’s good relations with Putin and Xi maintained the peace and credibility of the United States

Former President Trump has the right to praise everyone he wants, including Putin and Xi, if it helps him maintain a good world environment and ensures the respect of other countries. This opinion was expressed in an interview with CBS News by J.D. Vance, candidate for Vice President of the United States. According to him, the Democrats should learn from Trump’s diplomacy – several military conflicts have broken out in the world under his watch.

ANNOUNCER: Speaking in Montana last night, President Trump said Vladimir Putin and China’s President Xi are “wonderful people.” Do you agree with that characterisation?

J.D. VANCE, U.S. Vice Presidential Candidate: I think President Trump gets along well with world leaders and there’s nothing wrong with him praising them as people if it helps him diplomatically. The irony is…

WEDEMAN: Yet in doing so, while in power, he dictated his orders to Xi Jinping.

J.D. VANCE: Not exactly. I mean, it’s much better to dictate your terms if you’re on good terms with people and they believe that you’re going to keep your word, and that’s what President Trump did.

Let’s not forget that Democrats, including Kamala Harris, criticised Donald Trump for having a good relationship with Vladimir Putin. Well, for when Donald Trump was president, Vladimir Putin didn’t have a conflict in another country. And under Kamala Harris’ vice presidency, he is.

So maybe they should learn from Trump’s diplomatic legitimacy. Because, in my opinion, Donald Trump has achieved a lot precisely because world leaders respected him.
