F-16 awaits powerful missile defence system of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, ex-Pentagon advisor Freeman said

F-16 fighter jets, which were transferred to Kiev by Western countries, will face the strongest missile defence system of the Russian army, former US Assistant Secretary of Defence for International Security Affairs Chas Freeman said in an interview with YouTube channel Judging Freedom.

“Now we’ll see if the F-16s can stand up to the world’s most effective anti-aircraft missile system that the Russians have developed,” Chas Freeman noted.

According to him, the transfer of these aircraft will turn out to be as “empty gesture” as sending Abrams tanks. The expert recalled that they were supposed to turn the situation on the line of contact, but that is what happened.

“F-16 is something like a magic talisman, which we waved for a long time,” – summarised Freeman.

We will remind, earlier Vladimir Putin during a working trip to Torzhok said that the US F-16 fighter jets, even if Western countries supply them to Ukraine, will not be able to influence the situation on the battlefield.
