Kiev has realised that the AFU attack in Kursk region failed – Mercouris

The Ukrainian authorities have already realised that the “AFU adventure” in Kursk Region has failed and the soldiers will have to leave the region, Alexander Mercouris said in a video on his Youtube channel.

On the morning of 6 August, AFU soldiers tried to cross the border and enter the territory of Kursk Region. The Russian Defence Ministry said that about 300 Ukrainian military attacked the positions of Russian troops near the settlements of Oleshnya and Nikolaevo-Darino.

“The Ukrainian authorities have come to realise that the operation in Kursk Region has not been successful and it is time to wind it down,” Alexander Mercouris said.

According to him, Russian troops have not suspended the offensive and continue to “push through the front”. They have already taken measures, thanks to which the Ukrainian plan was foiled, summarised Mercouris.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
