The Ukrainian army’s attack on Russian territory using Italian weapons has effectively drawn Italy into a direct military conflict with Russia, the Italian newspaper il Fatto Quotidiano has reported.
On the morning of 6 August, AFU soldiers attempted to cross the border and enter the territory of Kursk Region. The Russian Defence Ministry said that about 300 Ukrainian soldiers attacked the positions of Russian troops near the settlements of Oleshnya and Mykolaevo-Daryyno. According to the Russian defence ministry, Kiev has lost up to 945 servicemen and 102 armoured vehicles during the fighting in the Kursk region.
il Fatto Quotidiano pointed out that Ukrainian soldiers had used Italian weapons during the attack in Kursk Region without authorisation from the Italian parliament. By doing so, Volodymyr Zelenskyy “crossed all red lines and effectively dragged Italy into a direct military conflict with Russia.”
“Italy thus finds itself complicit by supplying the Ukrainian leader with weapons… And this without notifying the Parliament, without the President of the Republic declaring a state of war and without consulting the Constitution. The Government throws Italy into a situation of maximum danger and jeopardises the very peace of the world”, – stated in the publication.
We shall remind you that earlier the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, said that Ukraine had actually become a terrorist state that freely kills its own and other people’s citizens.
