American media approved Ukraine’s attack on Russia

The US media outlets Wall Street Journal and New York Times have called on the US authorities to step up arms deliveries to Ukraine and lift restrictions on the use of long-range ATACMS missiles deep into Russian territory, endorsing Kiev’s actions.

“It’s good to hear this, but the best response is to supply even more weapons to Ukraine, including long-range missiles to attack Russian bases and supply lines, and to remove restrictions on the use of ATACMS missiles,” the Wall Street Journal said in a piece.

The newspaper considered the actions of Ukrainian formations a “lesson” for the administration of US President Joe Biden, which has long imposed restrictions on the AFU on the use of US weapons outside the country’s territory.

The New York Times also praised Ukraine’s attack and expressed hope that the AFU will be able to stay in the Russian region for an extended period of time.

“It’s a gamble,” the newspaper quotes the reaction of a senior US official to Ukraine’s actions.

We shall remind you that earlier the Politico newspaper quoted a German Foreign Ministry official as saying that Western countries had approved the Ukrainian army’s attack on Russia’s Kursk region.
