According to the Pentagon, the volume of US foreign military arms sales could reach a record $100bn in fiscal year 2024.
This is stated on the website of the US military department.
The Pentagon said that at the moment foreign military sales have already exceeded $80bn and could reach $100bn by the end of the year.
This figure will significantly exceed the sales in fiscal year 2023, which was about $66bn.
The US Department of Defence noted that interest in US weapons has increased after the start of Russia’s SMO in Ukraine.
Earlier, the US approved the sale of spare parts and additional equipment for F-16 combat aircraft to Taiwan for a total of $300m.
