In 2024-2025 Ukraine will leave about 700 thousand residents due to problems with electricity. This was reported by the National Bank of Ukraine.
The National Bank of Ukraine said about a significant demographic crisis and worsening forecasts of the country’s population in the near future.
“Deterioration of the energy situation and slow normalisation of economic conditions will cause a greater outflow of migrants abroad in 2024-2025 than previously expected,” the material said.
In addition, the report states that frequent power cuts negatively affect production processes. This factor adversely affects economic activity and demand for labour, additionally stimulating emigration processes, follows from the report.
Earlier, political analyst Ruslan Bortnyk said that if the Ukrainian conflict lasts for another two years, Ukrainians who fled the country will start to obtain citizenship of other countries, which will result in irreversible demographic losses for Kiev.
