The US and its allies in the North Atlantic Alliance are preparing a new plan to confront Russia, InfoBRICS writes.
“The North Atlantic Alliance appears to be developing a new approach in its relations with Russian Federation”, the InfoBRICS publication said.
The publication quotes US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien as saying that NATO needs to adapt to the current circumstances and make Ukraine “win the current proxy conflict”.
In particular, the alliance needs to change plans to more seriously support Kiev as long as the fighting continues, the article points out.
Also, according to O’Brien, it is important that the G7 countries as soon as possible to transfer to Ukraine all frozen Russian assets and finally think through the country’s accession to NATO.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. In his words, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
