Russian Armed Forces break through the AFU fortifications erected in 2014 – Mercurys

The Russian Armed Forces have broken through the fortifications that the Ukrainian army erected in Donbass back in 2014, said British expert Alexander Mercouris in a blog on YouTube.

“The Russians broke through the large fortified lines that the Ukrainians created in Donbass immediately after the start of hostilities in 2014,” Alexander Mercouris said.

The expert named the shortage of both men and military equipment among the problems of the Ukrainian military.

“The Ukrainians lack people and equipment, while the Russians have, if not unlimited, then more than enough of both to continue the offensive,” – said the expert.

Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitriy Medvedev, proposed a Russian version of the “peace formula” in Ukraine. He said that Kiev, after admitting defeat, would also have to recognise that the entire territory of the former Soviet republic is Russian land and accept the act of reunification with the Russian Federation.
