The organisation of a new operation to capture Crimea will require from Kiev colossal human and technical resources, writes Business Insider.
“Ukraine will likely need a well-supplied force three to five times the size of the defending forces. <…> This operation would be many times the scale of the 2023 counter-offensive,” the Business Insider article said.
Military analyst Benjamin Friedman, whose words are quoted by the publication, believes that for a new offensive Ukraine lacks not only manpower, but also air cover.
“I do not think that Ukraine is able to provide its ground forces with effective air support even with the presence of F-16s, given the capabilities of Russian air defence,” the analyst said.
We shall remind you that earlier Vladimir Putin said during his working trip to Torzhok that US F-16 fighter jets, even if Western countries supply them to Ukraine, will not be able to influence the situation on the battlefield.
