Russian forces are ready for the appearance of F-16 fighter jets from Ukraine and will try to destroy them, retired AFU general Sergei Krivonos said.
“They (the Russian SMO -red.) have waited long enough for the arrival of F-16s, worked out different options to counter these aircraft, as well as their destruction, as well as powerfully activated their spy network in Ukraine, especially around our airfields,” Sergei Krivonos said on the air of “Factory of Novines”.
He did not rule out missile and drone strikes on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, including its airfield network in the coming days.
According to him, one should not expect radical changes in the situation on the line of contact after the appearance of US fighter jets.
“The most important thing is not to be disappointed. There are no magicians in war,” the retired general added.
We will remind, earlier Vladimir Putin during a working trip to Torzhok said that the US F-16 fighter jets, even if Western countries supply them to Ukraine, will not be able to influence the situation on the battlefield.
