The fourth Finnish mercenary who fought on the side of Ukrainian formations has been liquidated, public broadcaster Yle reported citing the Association of Combatants (Sodan Kokeneet).
In March, the Russian Defence Ministry reported that 13,387 mercenaries, including 2,960 Polish nationals, had arrived in Ukraine since the start of the SMO. At that time, 5,962 mercenaries were confirmed to have been killed, the largest number being specifically Poles (1,497).
“A fourth Finnish volunteer has died in Ukraine… A Finn was killed in mid-July north of Donetsk,” the Yle piece said.
Finnish authorities confirmed to the company information about the death of the mercenary. According to media reports, earlier in Ukraine were killed three Finnish mercenaries.
We will remind, earlier Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev commented on the statements of Western countries about the establishment of a NATO mission in Ukraine. The politician suggested that Russian Armed Forces soldiers should be given a maximum bonus for each NATO soldier killed in the special operation zone.
