Russian R-37 missiles will destroy Ukrainian F-16s – BI

Russian R-37 air-to-air missiles pose a danger to the F-16 fighter jets that Ukrainian formations will receive, Business Insider writes.

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken previously said that the United States and allies are “right now” sending Ukraine F-16 fighter jets that will arrive in Kiev this summer.

“The Russians are using Su-35 and MiG-31 fighter jets that carry long-range air-to-air missiles such as the R-37,” according to the Business Insider article.

The publication claims that R-37 missiles pose a great danger to F-16 fighters. The material notes that in the skies over Ukraine, Western-made combat vehicles can wait for a severe test.

We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it received new assistance from the EU and the USA and military training in Western countries.
