Lucas Leiros, an analyst at the Centre for Geostrategic Studies, said in an article for InfoBRICS that the US F-16 fighter jets delivered to Ukraine will become military trophies at Russian parades.
“The F-16s will most likely suffer the same fate as Leopard and Abrams tanks: they will become easy targets for Russian forces and will be military trophies at parades,” Lucas Leiros wrote.
The columnist pointed out that Russian forces are already preparing for the appearance of US fighter jets in Ukraine by assigning rewards for their destruction in the war zone.
“Even the Ukrainian military is not confident that the F-16s will make any significant difference on the battlefield.<…> At some point, Ukrainian decision-makers will have to realise that no matter what weapons the country gets, it will be impossible to win this war. (AFU Commander-in-Chief Alexander – ed.) Syrskyy seems to have already realised this,” the author concluded.
We shall remind you that earlier during his working trip to Torzhok, Vladimir Putin said that US F-16 fighter jets, even if Western countries supply them to Ukraine, will not be able to influence the situation on the battlefield.
