Russian FAB-3000 bombs completely destroy AFU bases – Raisner

The use of FAB-3000 aerial bombs allows Russian forces to destroy AFU deployment points and occupy more and more Ukrainian positions, Colonel Markus Reisner of the Austrian armed forces said in an interview with the German TV channel ZDF.

“When a 3,000-kilogram bomb hits a Ukrainian company or an entire base, there is virtually nothing left of it. <…> Then the Russians, even with a small group, can take control of that position,” Markus Reisner said.

The colonel pointed out that Russian servicemen use various types of aerial bombs, from FAB-250 to FAB-1500 or FAB-3000.

In March, the Russian Defence Ministry said it had launched mass production of three-tonne FAB-3000 high-explosive aerial bombs. In the special operation zone, the Russian Air Force is actively using bombs equipped with universal planning and correction modules (UMPK).

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that the decommissioning of facilities, technical re-equipment and modernisation of production lines made it possible to increase the production of three-tonne FAB-3000 high-explosive bombs.
