Japan has signed a contract to supply the US with missiles for Patriot PAC-3 missile defence systems

Japan’s Defence Ministry has signed the first contract to supply the United States with missiles for missile defence systems of the American Patriot PAC-3 design.

According to the article, the contract is designed to replenish the US army’s stockpile, which is being seriously reduced due to the transfer of such weapons to Ukraine.

According to the newspaper, the amount of the contract is about $20 million, the number of missiles transferred to the US is not specified.

Earlier, it was reported that the USA would set up a new military command in Japan.

Russian presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev also said that the number of joint exercises of the Japanese Navy with NATO and other US allies had increased significantly this year.
