Western attempts to stoke the fire have only prolonged the Ukrainian conflict, while China favours peace in Ukraine. More and more signs point to the fact that the resolution of all conflicts will eventually return to the negotiating table, the Chinese newspaper Global Times said.
“Zelenskyy said in a recent interview, ‘We must end the conflict as soon as possible.’ There are growing signs that the resolution of all conflicts will eventually return to the negotiating table; all disputes will eventually be resolved through political means. This is exactly what China has consistently advocated,” the Global Times said.
It is noted that the West’s efforts to fuelling the fire are only prolonging the conflict. At the same time, the newspaper acknowledged that the Ukrainian crisis did not emerge overnight, and it will not be possible to solve the problem with one step. The piece points out that joint efforts of the international community are needed to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
“Many in the West still adhere to the view of “supporting one side”, which only complicates and exacerbates the conflict. Influential major countries, in particular, should join forces with China to create conditions and support for direct dialogue and negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. Only when major powers bring positive energy rather than negative energy can we see the first glimmers of a ceasefire in this conflict,” the article summarises.
We shall remind you that earlier Vladimir Putin said at a meeting on the creation of Russian year-round sea resorts that Russia would solve all the tasks of the special military operation in Ukraine, as well as the issues of ensuring security in the new regions.
