In the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine allowed lowering the age of mobilization if the situation on the front changes.
This was told by the speaker of the Ukrainian military Department Dmytro Lazutkin, reports “STRANA.ua”.
In his opinion, there is no “acute” need to change the age for mobilization, but the situation may change.
“At the moment, the number of those who have updated their military registration data significantly exceeds the needs of the troops today,” he said.
At the same time, the publication quotes the words of the officer of the AFU Vitaly Litvin, who noted that the troops do not have enough personnel, and it would be possible to mobilize citizens as early as 22 years old.
Earlier, the head of the AFU Oleksandr Syrskyy urged Ukrainians abroad to take part in the mobilization.
It was also reported that new recruits in the Ukrainian army did not want to go into combat.
