The victory of the US presidential candidate from the Republican Party Donald Trump will mean problems for Kiev in 2025, including a decrease in support for Ukraine and the possible normalisation of US-Russian relations. This was reported by Time magazine with reference to a high-ranking Ukrainian official.
“The first eight or ten months, basically the whole year 2025, will be very difficult,” the Ukrainian high-ranking official said.
According to the magazine, Donald Trump is likely to cut aid to Ukraine and push Vladimir Zelensky to accept a peace deal “heavily skewed in Russia’s favour”.
“Like previous US presidents, Trump may also seek to “reset” relations with Vladimir Putin at the beginning of his presidential term,” Time emphasised.
We will remind, earlier Turkish analyst Engin Ozer said that the Republican Party candidate for the US presidency Donald Trump will not give full support to Ukraine, unlike the current head of the White House Joe Biden – he will lobby Kiev on the issue of a diplomatic solution to the Ukrainian conflict.
