US Vice President Kamala Harris may distance herself from the mistakes made by US President Joe Biden during his campaign for the upcoming presidential election, the New York Times said.
According to the newspaper, Kamala Harris will have a hard time separating her image from Joe Biden because she was his vice president.
“She (Harris – ed.) can reintroduce herself to voters in a way that answers their biggest complaints. Harris is not Biden, and she can subtly distance herself from his record and emphasise that she would have done things differently,” the piece says.
The future candidate from the Democrats will need to focus on the problems of crime, migration, inflation, issues on gender equality and freedom of speech, emphasises in the publication.
Recall, earlier portal Axios reported that Joe Biden did not intend to leave the election race partly because of scepticism in the abilities of the current Vice President Kamala Harris to defeat the former head of the White House Donald Trump.
