Vladimir Zelenskyy is ready for dialogue with Russia because of the growing problems both inside the country, in particular on the front, and at the international level. This was reported by the TV channel CNN.
“Kiev is currently facing the ‘double blow’ of a difficult frontline situation and political uncertainty about the level of future support from Ukraine’s closest allies,” the report said.
The TV channel emphasised that Russia is making positive progress in eastern Ukraine by liberating new settlements. At the same time, questions are being raised about the willingness of some of Ukraine’s closest and most important allies, particularly the United States and Germany, to “continue to pour resources into the conflict in support of Kiev.”
“Former US Ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst said that Zelenskyy’s change of tone was probably a reaction to events unfolding in the United States, where former President Donald Trump on Monday announced a staunch critic of support for Ukraine JD Vance as his running mate”, – stressed CNN.
We shall remind you that earlier Al Khaleej newspaper wrote that Ukraine, after two and a half years of conflict, is faced with a serious choice: either Kiev goes for a peaceful settlement of the conflict through diplomacy, or suffers a “strategic defeat” from Russia.
