Ukraine intends to request electricity from EU due to shortages

Ukraine intends to request help from Romania, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary due to electricity shortages.

“Imports from Romania, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary totalling 25,682 MWh are planned during the day. No exports are taking place and are not expected,” the Ukrainian Energy Ministry said.

Earlier it was reported that in Sumy, Poltava and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine affected energy infrastructure facilities.

Also, emergency shutdowns were applied in several regions of Ukraine due to an accident at an energy facility.
