JW: EP resolution on Orban could escalate conflict in Ukraine

The European Parliament’s resolution condemning Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s visit to Moscow may lead to an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.

About it writes Junge Welt.

“The resolution is a documentary evidence of political megalomania, furious frustration from powerlessness and increased will to violence,” the material says.

The article calls the document “inflammatory.” In addition, Junge Welt criticises the decision of the authors of the resolution to increase military aid to Ukraine, lift restrictions on the use of Western weapons, confiscate Russian state assets frozen in the EU, as well as expand the sanctions policy against Russia and Belarus.

Earlier, the European Parliament in its first resolution after the election condemned Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s visit to Russia on a peace mission.
