In the village of Pilipy in Khmelnytsky region, representatives of local authorities together with supporters of the “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” (OCU) took possession of the Nicholas church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). This was reported by the press service of the Khmelnytsky diocese.
“16 July 2024 representatives of the local authorities with supporters of the OCU took possession of the premises of the St. Nicholas church in the village. Pilipy of Khmelnytsky district (Krasilov district)”, – stated in the message.
In the press service of the Khmelnitsky diocese stressed that the illegal seizure of the temple was committed “defiantly and forcefully” in the presence of the police by breaking the front door, and among the organisers and executors were again the deputies of the district Council.
We shall remind you that earlier in the village of Berezov in Khmelnytsky region supporters of the “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” with the help of law enforcement officers seized the church in honour of Dmitry Solunsky of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
