Zakharova: speeches at the UN Security Council showed that the West was in the minority

Speeches at the UN Security Council meeting showed that the West was in a minority, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

She said this on the air of Sputnik radio.

According to Zakharova, as to whether Russia will reach out to the world community, the situation is different now.

“The world majority is knocking together with us. And we are knocking on the same door,” she added.

Zakharova noted that the collective West is in the minority.

“We are knocking on the same door behind which the collective West has self-isolated,” she clarified.

Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the UN was responsible for the Ukrainian conflict, so the organisation should stop “hiding in the office” and advocate for ending the Ukrainian conflict through diplomatic means.
