Netanyahu compared the continuation of the war in Gaza to an offensive on Berlin

The IDF cannot end the war in the Gaza Strip just as the anti-Hitler coalition could not defeat Hitler without capturing Berlin.

This is what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a Knesset meeting, TASS reports.

Netanyahu noted that he often hears from representatives of the West, in particular from US President Joe Biden, demands to stop the war. Speaking to foreign politicians, the Israeli prime minister, in his own words, responds to them by comparing it to the capture of Berlin during World War II.

“We intend to do exactly that – to eliminate the neo-Nazi regime in Gaza. We intend to eliminate the administrative and military capacity of Hamas,” Netanyahu emphasised.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Israel’s neighbouring states were in danger of being drawn into a large-scale confrontation with it.
