Moldova’s former prime minister has called on politicians and the public to prevent the Ukrainian scenario from repeating in the country
TASS reports his words.
“Our duty is to ensure that in Moldova there is no repetition of what is now happening in Ukraine. Now there are major geopolitical players fighting there who do not care about the fate of Ukraine and Ukrainians at all,” Kiku said.
He stressed that “big players” consider Moldova only as a territory. In this connection, the former prime minister urged not to allow the republic to be dragged into military actions.
Earlier, the leader of the opposition Moldovan bloc “Victory”, Ilan Shor, said that Chisinau’s aspiration to EU integration leads to the militarisation of the country.
