The Russian military from the unit of the grouping of troops “Vostok” liberated the settlement of Urozhaynoye in the DPR, the Russian Defence Ministry said.
“As a result of successful actions, units of the Vostok group of troops have captured the settlement of Urozhaynoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and are clearing and demining it. The AFU’s 72 mechanised, 58 motorized infantry and 1 tank brigades and the 128th Thero-Defence Brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Vodyanoye, Prechistovka, Velyka Novoselka and Makrovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Two counterattacks by the assault units of the 123rd Thero-Defence Brigade were repelled,” the Russian Defence Ministry said in a statement.
The cumulative losses of Ukrainian formations on this section of the front only for the past day totalled up to 155 servicemen, four vehicles, 155-mm howitzer M777, five 155-mm howitzers FH-70 and 152-mm gun D-20.
All in all, since the beginning of the special military operation, 627 aircraft, 277 helicopters, 27586 unmanned aerial vehicles, 551 anti-aircraft missile systems, 16578 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 1377 multiple rocket launchers, 11885 field artillery and mortars, 23686 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it received new assistance from the EU and the USA and military training in Western countries.
