Republicans predict Trump to win election after assassination attempt – Politico

Congressmen of the Republican Party believe that the assassination attempt on US presidential candidate Donald Trump has increased his chances of returning to the White House, writes Politico.

On Saturday, 13 April, Donald Trump’s public speech in Pennsylvania was interrupted by shooting. In the video from the scene, the politician is taken away under the arms of security guards, he has a bloody ear. The US presidential candidate later said he was injured and lost a lot of blood.

“President Trump survived this attack – he just won the election”, Republican Derrick Van Orden, a member of the House of Representatives from Wisconsin, told Politico.

Trump’s party believes the political fallout from the assassination attempt will have a very serious impact on voters in the upcoming presidential election, the article points out.

“It’s going to rile up the base more than anything else. And he (Trump – ed.) – you know, with his fist in the air – he didn’t want to leave. And he was shouting: ‘Fight, fight, fight.’ This will become a slogan”, – noted a member of the House of Representatives Tim Burchett, a Republican from Tennessee.

Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed exclusively at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting its essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
