Belgium will supply Kiev with 30 F-16 fighter jets by 2028, the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Igor Zhovkva, has said.
According to the official, at the NATO summit, Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed fighter jet deliveries with representatives of partner countries, met with the new prime minister of the Netherlands, and discussed the issue with US President Joe Biden.
“We have the relevant declarations from our partners on the number of aircraft. We know these four countries and we know the number they promise <…> Belgium has declared 30 aircraft and this is in our agreement with Belgium. But it says that these 30 aircraft will be delivered by the end of 2028,” the Telegram channel “Strana” quotes Igor Zhovkva as saying.
He emphasised that Kiev considers such deadlines unacceptable.
“Unfortunately, in some countries the delivery schedule is quite long”, – said the Deputy head of the OP of Ukraine.
We will remind, earlier the Deputy of the state Duma from the Republic of Crimea, a member of the Committee on security Mikhail Sheremet said that the delivery of US F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine will not change the situation on the front and will demonstrate the effectiveness of Russian weapons.
