AT: anti-Russian sanctions could lead to de-dollarisation

Anti-Russian sanctions have reduced the attractiveness of the dollar as a global currency.

This writes Asia Times with reference to the forecast of U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

“Exceptional measures of the United States and its allies against Russia have confused major reserve-holding countries,” the publication quotes her words.

Earlier, financial analyst Vladimir Levchenko told Izvestia that the dollar looks “not a very high-quality asset” given the growing debt in the US economy.
