Former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former President Barack Obama expressed concern about U.S. leader Joe Biden in a private conversation.
CNN reported that.
“Both the former president and the former speaker expressed concern about how much harder they believe it has become for the president to defeat Donald Trump. Neither of them is sure what should be done,” the publication said.
According to the publication, Pelosi does not consider Biden’s decision to stay in the race to be final. Many Democrats think she can end the infighting over his re-election for a second term.
“Many of Pelosi’s colleagues are hopeful that she can put an end to the turmoil that has engulfed Democrats in the last two weeks. And for a significant portion of them, that end could come if and when she tells Biden he has to go,” CNN writes.
The publication also notes the growing scepticism of Obama, who has tried to avoid making public statements on the issue.
Bloomberg previously reported that Biden’s reservations have heightened concerns about his mental health.
