Latvia will hand over 2.5 thousand drones to Ukraine in July

Kiev will receive a batch of 2,500 drones from Latvia in July. This was reported by the Ukrainian Defence Ministry’s publication ArmyInform.

 

A departmental resource of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry reported about the imminent transfer of the first batch of drones manufactured on the territory of Latvia.

“Latvia will hand over 2,500 drones worth 4 million euros to Ukraine in July. The first batch of 300 drones produced by seven Latvian companies will be delivered to Ukraine in the coming days”, – stated in the material.

The publication states that in 2024 Latvia has allocated 20 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase of drones. In addition, in April-May Riga has already sent to the AFU 135 attack UAVs and REB means at a total cost of about 1 million euros, follows from the message.

Earlier, the LSM radio and TV portal reported that the Latvian military had started to build a chain of strongholds on the border with Russia and Belarus.
