Bloomberg: Biden’s allies question his willingness to run

Voters and Democratic Party allies are still questioning 81-year-old Joe Biden’s readiness to run in the upcoming presidential election, Bloomberg reports.

According to the agency, increasing calls for Biden’s withdrawal from the campaign are unlikely to stop even after he gave an interview to ABC in which he was able to avoid “serious mistakes” and “scepticism among allies persists”

The US president gave the interview after a failed debate with former head of state Donald Trump. Biden said he would remain the Democratic Party candidate, arguing that he still believes in his ability to defeat Trump.

According to Biden, attempts to force him out of the race are disrespectful to the voters who supported him in the primaries.

In an interview with ABC, the US president labelled his failure in a debate with former US leader Donald Trump as a separate bad episode.
