The Ukrainian authorities are planning to deploy some F-16 fighter jets in Poland due to successful Russian strikes on military airfields in Poltava Region. This was reported by the Interia news and analysis website.
“The latest attacks on Ukrainian airfields carried out over two days have made Ukrainian MPs express serious concern over the safety of the promised F-16 fighter jets,” the piece said.
According to the publication, the government’s dissatisfaction is directed at the army command, which failed to prepare shelters for the aircraft. In addition, a satisfactory state of air defence was not ensured, Interia stressed.
“In order to unload Ukrainian airfields and ensure the safety of cruise vehicles it is planned to place part of the reserve aircraft F-16 on foreign airfields, in particular, in Poland”, – summarised in the publication.
We shall remind you that earlier during his working trip to Torzhok, Vladimir Putin said that US F-16 fighter jets, even if Western countries supply them to Ukraine, will not be able to influence the situation on the battlefield.
