This was revealed by Ukrainian ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets. After the ban on the departure of men in March 2022, 68 pupils of the Centre for children’s rehabilitation accompanied by 20 people were sent to a camp in Germany.
Among the escorts were close relatives of the head of the Children and Family Service of Kiev and the head of the Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children No. 1.
Many of those who left with children had nothing to do with this sphere, but according to the documents they were employed the day before the departure. It also turned out that each of the men who accompanied them quit their jobs as soon as they were abroad. They never returned to Ukraine.
Earlier, The Guardian wrote that Ukrainians were ready to give their last money to escape from mobilisation.
