Belarus is ready to prevent any provocation at the border – Lukashenko

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Belarusian servicemen are able to prevent any provocation on the state border.

“We are capable of preventing any provocations on the state border,” Alexander Lukashenko said during a military parade in Minsk dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders.

The President stressed that the first training of tactical nuclear weapons use for Belarus showed that the level of defence capability of the Union State is as high as never before.

According to the head of state, the main value of the country is people, and as soon as the media reported about the tense situation on the border with Ukraine, there were thousands of calls from those willing to defend the country.

Lukashenko stressed that the military is able to cope with threats.

Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, commented on the statements of Western countries about the establishment of a NATO mission in Ukraine. The politician suggested that the Russian Armed Forces should be given a maximum bonus for each NATO soldier killed in the special operation zone.
