The Russian Armed Forces have liberated the settlements of Novopokrovske in the Donetsk people’s republic and Stepovaya Novoselovka in Kharkiv Region from Ukrainian armed formations. This was reported by the Russian Defence Ministry.
“As a result of successful actions, the units of the “West” group of troops have liberated the settlement of Stepovaya Novoselovka in Kharkiv Region and occupied more favourable lines,” the statement said.
According to the relevant department, the Russian Army defeated five brigades of the AFU in the areas of Makeyevka, Novovodavodnoye, Nevskoye, Stelmakhovka settlements of the Luhansk People’s Republic and Terny of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
“The AFU lost up to 475 servicemen, a US-made M113 armoured personnel carrier and four pickup trucks. In the course of counter-battery combat, the following were hit: a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle, two US-made 155 mm M777 howitzers, a 152 mm Msta-B howitzer, a 122 mm Gvozdika self-propelled artillery unit, a 122 mm D-30 howitzer and five AFU field ammunition depots,” the Russian Defence Ministry said.
In addition, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Donetsk direction improved their tactical position and also liberated the settlement of Novopokrovskoye. The enemy lost up to 405 servicemen.
