WSJ: Davos forum leadership accused of rights abuses and harassment

Employees of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos told about cases of labour rights infringement and harassment by the management, writes The Wall Street Journal.

The newspaper published the material based on internal complaints, e-mails and interviews with more than 80 current and former employees of the forum.

The publication said six women faced sexual harassment from management. Another two female employees said senior forum members molested them.

In addition, six ex-employees of the forum were forced to resign due to pregnancy, the newspaper said.

The women who worked together with the founder of the Davos forum Klaus Schwab also said that the head of the forum offered them to continue communication “outside the workplace”.

Earlier, 16 women accused American illusionist David Copperfield of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour.
