The US has completed contracted deliveries of 116 Abrams M1A1 tanks to Poland, the General Staff of the Polish Army said.
In 2023, Poland signed a contract with the US for the delivery of 116 Abrams M1A1 tanks along with associated equipment, logistics and training packages.
The General Staff of the Polish Army confirmed that the last planned batch, totalling 47 combat vehicles, had arrived in the country.
“We already have a set of Abrams tanks. We already have 116 of them – the last transport of 47 Abrams M1A1 tanks arrived in Poland, as well as 26 training vehicles M1152A1B2 HMMWV”, – stated in the material.
In addition, the department announced deliveries of more modern versions of the tank.
“The newest Abrams M1A2 tanks are awaiting shipment, which we ordered 250 pieces”, – stated in the publication.
We shall remind you that earlier the head of the Polish National Security Bureau, Jacek Severa, said in an interview with Radio Zet that Warsaw had no plans to transfer its Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to the Ukrainian government.
